A gas fireplace is more efficient, cleaner and easier to maintain than its wood-burning counterpart. Whether you're a homeowner interested in upgrading your home by converting an existing space or you're a contractor who's building from scratch, we're your source for fireplaces online.
We have extensive experience working with homeowners and contractors to meet their goals, and pride ourselves on supporting our customers every step of the way. If you have questions at any time during the process, from pre-purchase to installation, we're here to help.

We offer a wide selection of fireplaces that utilize gas, both natural and L.P. Shop all of our options to become familiar with their features, or narrow your search by one of the main differentiators between gas fireplaces: whether the fireplace is vented or vent-free.

Why Vented?

If you're looking to utilize an existing wood-burning fireplace, choosing a vented product will be your most logical choice. That's because you'll already have the existing ductwork that's needed to vent out the byproducts fireplaces create. If you simply want to upgrade your existing masonry fireplace, connecting an insert will provide a low cost solution and spare you the additional costs of a complete fireplace renovation or replacement.

However, a vented fireplace's venting can also be routed directly through the wall behind it, so an existing chimney is not a must. Direct vent fireplaces can just as easily be installed in homes that have a chimney but no fireplace and in homes that don't have a fireplace at all. If you're building from scratch, a vented gas fireplace should be your first choice since it's the most affordable and energy efficient solution.

Why Vent-Free?
A vent-free gas fireplace requires none of the additional ductwork or a working chimney. Vent-free fireplaces can be installed virtually anywhere, so if you've always envisioned yourself submerged in a luxurious bubble bath with the dazzling flames of a linear fireplace nearby, you can make that dream a reality.

Ventless fireplaces are also incredibly efficient, which means you can heat a room for less than it would cost you to heat the same room with a vented alternative. They're an eco-friendly solution because they don't produce harmful emissions and because they create water vapors as a byproduct, they're ideal for those ultra-dry environments that normally have you running an additional humidifier.
This also makes them less than ideal in areas where humidity is already abundant, and because they must adhere to a very strict set of safety standards they may not be an option in your state or county. You can read more about that here.

Bioethanol Fireplaces
We also carry alternative gas fireplaces that use ethanol (alcohol), so if this is a feature you prefer, check out our selection of Ecosmart fireplaces. Ecosmart fireplaces use oxygen combined with liquid ethanol to create a flame; they produce water, steam and a very low amount of carbon dioxide as their byproducts.
Since biofuels are derived from plants rather than fossil sources, they are very eco-friendly and clean-burning alternatives to traditional fireplaces. Because they burn clean, bioethanol fireplaces do not require a chimney to vent out harmful particles, however, since they consume oxygen they do require some venting.

Outdoor Gas Fireplaces
Finally, since indoor and outdoor fireplaces are not interchangeable, if you're looking to install a fireplace on your patio start here.
